We try to be as clear as possible about our fees. Below is a diagram setting out how much we charge for a typical case where the assets (excluding pensions) are worth less than £350,000 and the issues are not unusually complex and do not have an international element..
But no one case is exactly the same as another. So we guarantee that if your case settles or your instructions are cancelled mid way through one stage we will tell you how much the bill would be if we calculated it according to the time spent on it - and if that figure is lower you will pay that. If it is higher you will pay only the fixed/capped fee we have given you with our terms of engagement.
This gives you the certainty of knowing what a stage in proceedings is going to cost but in the event that you settle early you will still feel the benefit.
The range of fees below is from £675 for a 5 year separation divorce including a financial order, to £8325 for a fully contested financial application and an uncontested unreasonable behaviour divorce - but please note that only routine meetings and correspondence are included. Additional meetings and long telephone calls may increase your bill.
